Supported Independent Living (SIL) & Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Your Home. Your Choice. Your Independence.
At Cultivate Care, we believe everyone deserves a safe, comfortable and supportive place to call home.
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services provide personalised assistance to NDIS participants who require support with everyday living. Whether you need 24/7 assistance or support at specific times throughout the day, our dedicated team is here to help you live as independently and confidently as possible.
We take a person-centred approach, tailoring our services to each individual's goals, preferences and support needs. Our focus is on creating a welcoming home environment where participants feel respected, empowered and supported to live life on their own terms.
Supported Independent Living (SIL).
Empowering independence through personalised everyday support.
Our SIL services are designed for individuals who require regular assistance or supervision with daily living activities.
We work closely with participants, families, guardians and support coordinators to develop individualised support arrangements that promote independence, build confidence and enhance quality of life.
What support do we provide?
24/7 Support & Supervision – Assistance throughout the day and overnight, based on individual support requirements.
Personal Care – Support with showering, dressing, grooming, hygiene and daily routines.
Daily Living Skills – Assistance with cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and maintaining a comfortable home.
Medication Assistance – Medication prompting and assistance in accordance with individual care plans and staff competencies.
Community Participation – Supporting participants to access community activities, appointments, social outings and recreational opportunities.
Skill Development – Building confidence and independence in everyday tasks, decision-making and personal responsibilities.
Complex Support Needs – Individualised assistance for participants with higher support requirements, including complex physical disabilities and behaviours of concern, where appropriately assessed and staffed.
Social & Emotional Wellbeing – Encouraging meaningful relationships, social connections and a positive home environment.
Our goal is simple: to provide the right level of support while encouraging participants to maintain choice, control and independence in their everyday lives.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Accessible living environments designed around individual needs.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is housing designed for eligible NDIS participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
At Cultivate Care, we understand the importance of having a home that supports accessibility, comfort, safety and independence.
We work collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators and accommodation providers to explore suitable housing and support arrangements.
SDA Housing & Support
Depending on eligibility, availability and individual requirements, accommodation options may include:
Improved Liveability
Fully Accessible
Robust
High Physical Support
Our team can assist participants and their support networks with understanding accommodation requirements, exploring suitable housing options and coordinating appropriate daily living supports.
SDA provides the specialised housing, while SIL provides the support a participant may need to live in that home. These are separate NDIS supports with different eligibility and funding arrangements.
